Birch is best known for his time on the independent circuit under the name Joey Matthews, and is currently signed with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) on its SmackDown! brand, where he competes as Joey Mercury.

Show pushes Luke’s head into the mat. Show with a head butt and chop in the corner. Luke with kicks to Show followed by a punch. Show with a back elbow and Luke goes to the floor. Show goes to the floor and Joseph gets between Luke and Show. Show grabs Joseph and that allows Punk to tag back in. Punk with a drop kick to the knee that sends Show to the floor followed by a baseball slide.
Never one to back down, Big Show used his anger in the bout, manhandling the bald-headed Luke Gallows and Joseph Mercury to The Second City Savior’s dismay. Though the odds may have been stacked against Show, the Knucklehead star stood firm.
Before the WWE Official finished the three-count, Punk was finished, too. The leader walked out, disgusted with the dismal performance he had just seen from his followers.

MERCURYS RETURN

As noted several weeks ago here on wrestlingattitude.com website, John Morrison’s former tag-team partner Joey Mercury is said to be returning to WWE shortly. While several sources are reporting that a deal has been signed, many people backstage at the Royal Rumble several weeks ago were not aware of his pending return.
I wish some actually known news would happen and we knew whats been signed or hasnt been signed.
While searching the internet for photos of Joey, i came across this old photo on Lisa Marie aka Tara aka Victoria twitter, showing Joey with a whole lot of wrestlers. I dont know when or where it was taken so sorry about that, but it must be old with how some of them look.
Also this week, Lashley punched his ticket for WrestleMania, winning a Last Chance Battle Royal to earn the final spot in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. 20 men began the Battle Royal, and the final four were Lashley, Tatanka and MNM. Tatanka & Lashley teamed up to take it to the WWE Tag Team Champions, but the Native American made the mistake of charging Nitro while he was on the ropes; Nitro ducked and pulled the ropes down, sending Tatanka to the floor and leaving Lashley alone with the champions.
MNM then proceeded to double team Lashley mercilessly; they were able to hit the Snapshot on the powerhouse, but couldn’t get Lashley over the top rope. Lashley escaped their assault, but charged into the corner and hit the ringpost. In the end, Mercury held Lashley for a Nitro superkick, but Lashley ducked and he hit his partner instead. Lashley then hoisted Mercury up in a gorilla press and tossed him into Nitro, who was against the ropes. The WWE Tag Team Champions tumbled over the top rope together, giving Lashley the victory to send him to WrestleMania.
Backstage, MNM were taking a peek at Candice Michelle’s Playboy cover. They also had the Muscle and Fitness magazine cover w/ Vinnie Mac on the cover. When Melina entered the scene, she insinuated what she’d like to do to Vince. Paul Birchall then made is presence felt and pulled his sword on the tag champs.
In the main event, the WrestleMania opponents met WWE Tag Team Champions MNM & Mark Henry. Early in the match, Angle kept MNM off guard, but the champions took control by working Angle’s still injured ribs. Angle managed to tag Mysterio, who came in and cleaned house on MNM before running into Henry. Henry dominated his smaller opponent, and Melina & Daivari even got involved to help their team.
As the match neared conclusion, Orton still had not tagged into the match. After Henry missed a splash on Mysterio, Rey was able to tag Angle. The World Heavyweight Champion cleaned house on MNM, tossing them around at will with German suplexes. Angle then hit an Angle Slam on Mercury, but Henry broke up the pinfall. He was rewarded with an Angle Slam of his own, and the World Heavyweight Champion tagged in Mysterio. Mysterio came in and nailed Mercury with the 619, but Orton finally made a blind tag as he did so. Orton then tossed Mysterio over the top rope, and with Angle fighting Henry outside the ring, the Legend Killer made the easy cover on Mercury for the victory. As the remaining members of his team stared Orton down after the match, the question was once again raised if they could co-exist at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Just added a splash from when Joey was released from WWE, i had been looking for it for a little while. Im hoping soon he comes back and we’ll have more splashes to look forward too.
Now im not really into Shoot Interviews because they kinda go on for ages. But Joeys was very insightful, he talks on a fast range on stories questions problems, from how he got into wrestling, to the Melina/Mickie hatred which started because Melina was protecting Joey, to the very horrific facial injury suffered at Armaggedom 2006, and a whole lot more. Welcome Back Joey fans, yes we are back after a long and painful disappearance. Long time ago i had to close this site because my host was ok, but annoying it was going into a lot of money at the time and i couldn’t afford them so i closed my sites with them and found starszz who I’ve been with on and off for 2 or 3 years i think and its brilliant, I always knew i would bring this site back and its been living on my computer for a year, so here we are, a fantastic host, our domain name back and funny thing is, everyone thinks i made this site because of rumours of Joey’s return to WWE, but no I’ve been working on it a long time before that, but if the news is true it would put the icing on the cake.
