SMACKED DOWN
Smackdown - 3rd September 2010
Show pushes Luke’s head into the mat. Show with a head butt and chop in the corner. Luke with kicks to Show followed by a punch. Show with a back elbow and Luke goes to the floor. Show goes to the floor and Joseph gets between Luke and Show. Show grabs Joseph and that allows Punk to tag back in. Punk with a drop kick to the knee that sends Show to the floor followed by a baseball slide.
Never one to back down, Big Show used his anger in the bout, manhandling the bald-headed Luke Gallows and Joseph Mercury to The Second City Savior’s dismay. Though the odds may have been stacked against Show, the Knucklehead star stood firm.
Before the WWE Official finished the three-count, Punk was finished, too. The leader walked out, disgusted with the dismal performance he had just seen from his followers.

Luke Gallows def. MVP
Utilizing Straight Edge reinforcements, Luke Gallows all but guaranteed his victory against MVP. While Serena distracted the referee, the now-infamous hooded stranger appeared out of nowhere and drove MVP’s skull to the canvas. Capitalizing on his dazed opponent, Gallows sealed the deal with the Gallows Pole.
S.E.S. Pledge vs. Hair Match
Rey Mysterio vs. CM Punk
After the match, The maskes S.E.S. attacker is out, and he takes out Mysterio. Punk calls out Gallows and Serena. Gallows has handcuffs in his pockets, and Punk starts to use them to tie Rey up in the ropes, but he’s stopped when Kane’s music and pyro hits Kane comes down to the ring, where he takes out Gallows, and then the masked attacker, and then CM Punk with a big chokeslam. Kane goes back to work on Gallows, and Mysterio uses the distraction to handcuff Punk to the ropes. Mysterio hits another 619 and he locks up Punk’s other hand on the ropes.
Mysterio grabs the clippers, and even though Punk tries to fight, Mysterio kicks at Punk’s head before using the clippers to shave Punk’s head Punk is bleeding pretty profusely and thankfully there are no trainers in site. Mysterio is taking out big clumps of Punk’s hair, and Punk is just begging him to stop.
As in all hair matches, Mysterio leaves Punk humiliated, with big patches of his hair gone, but other’s still remaining. Mysterio has big handfuls of Punk’s hair, which he holds up. Mysterio looks under the ring, but he doesn’t do anything before walking to the back. Serena runs over with a towel to cover up Punk’s head.
Rey runs back down to the ring with a mirror in his hand and he shows Punk his reflection. Punk looks furious as he kicks away at Mysterio.
Mysterio teamed with MVP to take on The Second City Saint and his “sin-free soldier” Luke Gallows. As The Master of the 619 attempted to dial up his favorite maneuver on Punk, the hooded stranger – who had attacked Mysterio on three separate occasions – once again emerged out of nowhere. This time, The Ultimate Underdog proved ready for the surprise. After attacking the anonymous assailant with absolute fury and ramming him into the steel ring post, Mysterio used his supreme athletic ability to counter Punk and pick up the quick pin.
If you’ve been keeping score, it’s all tied up between Rey Mysterio and CM Punk. At WrestleMania XXVI, The Ultimate Underdog downed Punk with the 619 to prevent having to join The Straight Edge Society.
Then at Extreme Rules, Punk defeated The Master of the 619 to protect his hair. Now, at Over the Limit, one Superstar will be forced to make a drastic change.
If Mysterio loses, he must join The Straight Edge Society. And if Punk loses, Rey gets to shave his head! If you look deeper than the match stipulations, there may be some extra motivation for Mysterio to win.
Leading up to their WrestleMania match, Mysterio was forced to endure The Second City Saint’s taunting of his family.
And in recent weeks, Mysterio has been the victim of sneak attacks from a mysterious hooded person who has yet to be indentified. Clearly though, the individual has allegiances to The Straight Edge Society. Will this individual play a role at Over the Limit?
Regardless of who has more motivation to win, the bottom line is that someone’s future is going to change.
Will Rey find himself forced to stand side-by-side with Luke Gallows, Serena and CM Punk? Or, will Punk lose what he calls a symbol of his purity? Find out at Over the Limit, live Sunday, May 23, only on pay-per-view.
